After the 2009 publication of the book “Cruxes – 49 Mountain Tales”, Christine Kopp presents a new collection of short stories. These amusing tales describes how the protagonist Betsy Berg discovers the mountains and the adventures she finds there and in the valley below. The Writer Christine Kopp is a freelance translator and author who has clearly found her niche in mountain and alpine journalism. For many years one of her responsibilities included the Alpinism column of the esteemed newspaper Neue Züricher Zeitung. Today, she writes for numerous Swiss, Italian, and German media and publishing companies. She has translated 12 books, most notably works by Bonatti, Cassin, and Loretan. Additionally, she has been involved in numerous film and book projects. Kopp spends a good amount of time in the mountains herself and has first hand knowledge what can happen there. The Betsy Berg Short Stories are beautifully complimented by Esther Angst’s illustrations.
