Freggio ***

Young climbers discovered the beautiful slabby flanks above Freggio and equipped “Via del Pivello” next to “Via del Veterano”. Old Timers climb next to Newbies (Pivello). The upside is that on sunny days, the wait times have been significantly shortened! To better enjoy this 20 Pitch gem, the traffic jams on the rock as well as in the Gotthard Tunnel can better be managed with an alpine start.  The climb usually requires 6-8 hours on average. And though one can climb only to the middle and get off, that would be regrettable, but still better than a bivouac without a sleeping bag, Risotto, and Merlot!
