Val Ferret – Dalmazzi *****

The wonderful Val Ferret is an ever popular summer weekend destination. The meadows are covered with picnic blankets and camping chairs and allow you to enjoy doing nothing. Fortunately, on the nearby walls, the crowds are smaller. The Pilastro Franco Salluard is an awesome longer climb in quality rock. For those looking for climbs a little less committing, Mochete, and the climbing at the Placche Pre de Bard deliver with casual moderate Plaisir routes. Climbing at the Parete dei Tiotani is also fun. All around the Dalmazzi Hut, you can enjoy inspiring Plaisir climbs with alpine ambience. A visit in the summer months is definately rewarding. When it starts to get cold, you better head down to the warmer climates of the Aosta Valley.
