This is a climbing area rich in tradition. With great views and above the inversion, it offers great climbing. It is well equipped by Jörg Wüthrich and the local Chapter of the SAC. This makes the Ruttelhorn worth a visit. Unfortunate-ly, the holds on the classic routes are somewhat worn. To avoid rockfall onto the alpine meadows below, always stay on the designated trails.

The climbing sectors around the Bettlerküche/Rüttelhorn/Hinteregg are frequently visited. This has recently led to major problems in terms of parking and waste.
For example, parking and driving bans have been disregarded and large quantities of garbage have been left behind.
As a result, the municipalities of Farnern and Attiswil are looking for a long-term solution. A climbing ban cannot be ruled out if the climbers' behavior does not improve.
We therefore ask you to adhere to the following points and to make other climbers aware of them:
Use the official parking spaces, not those of the mountain restaurants
Take waste with you
Cover excrement and toilet paper
Use the official fireplaces
Camping is not permitted
