Pala di Gondo ****

Not infrequently you will encounter bumper to bumper traffic high up the Simplon Pass. This is likely due to the gawking climbers checking out the conditions on the impressive “Pala di Gondo” from their car windows! “Raggio di Sole” and “Non ti Voltare Mai” follow the obvious spur on the left side of the wall, offering exciting climbing on solid North Face rock. The slabs right of the spur are exposed to rock fall, therefore, these routes are not included in this guidebook. It is highly inadvisable to hang out for long periods of time beneath this wall!
