Arnad *****
The Flanks of the Paretone soar proudly into the sky. Just like viewing El Capitan from El Cap meadow, you can study the whole line in detail from below, all while getting psyched to finally get your hands on that stone! And as expected, the rock is perfect and wonderfully featured. Thanks to an area wide rebolting campaign in 2004, the fixed protection is bomber in most of the routes. Additionally, every route has a plaque with the name mounted at the base making orientation a breeze. To get a feel for the place, check out the “La Gruviera” Sector. It has the best rock imaginable and is well protected. The approach is short and casual for the whole family. If it seems too crowded at Paretone and Gruviera, move up higher to the Pilier Lomasti. Some of the best routes in the Aosta Valley are found here! With an unbearably hot sun in summer, The Paretone is best during the winter months, but also in spring and fall. Sunshine doesn’t hit the Pilier Lomasti until the afternoon.

The turn warning in the route "Lo Dzerby" in the third pitch is wrongly placed. Correctly it belongs to the 5th stand before the walking area. There the route continues to the right!
