Far away from the hustle and bustle of Chamonix are four fantastic routes in the charming village of Vallon de Berard. Yes, the approaches are a bit longer here, but at least you won’t have to spend any money for train tickets. “L’ete indien” and “Into the wild” are great routes in a sunny location. The routes “Ombre et luminiere” and “L’ile aux razmokets” are especially convenient for those climbers used to “crack of noon” starts. The sun first hits this low angle wall in the afternoon. You will enjoy great rock and well protected routes on this popular crag.
