Äscher ****

Ascher is without question, one of the most beautiful and popular climbing areas in Alpstein. The cliff spans for 1.5km with a large number and a wide variety of routes from 1 to 5 pitches in length. The majority are single pitch sport climbs. The 6c – 7b climber has a plethora of routes to choose from here. What makes this a great place to climb are the numerous routes, the quality rock, the beautiful location, and the easy access. In the Fall, when the valley is often covered by a thick layer of fog, you’ll find the best climbing weather. But you can climb here even in winter.
