“Pacha Mama” follows cracks, dihedrals, and slabs up the “Pilastro Corsini”. Varied and exciting climbing is to be had. Some pitches require Camalots for supplemental protection, but placements are plentiful and not a problem in these perfect cracks. One tier higher up are three routes all worthy of your attention, yet “Curri ca chiovi” is the best of the bunch. A sea of perfect Ossola gneiss will impress even the most seasoned slab masters.The vegetation on the approaches and descents during the summer months can be somewhat thick. Huge ferns and thorny bushes can impede progress and trail finding. But no matter, as the summer season is often too hot to climb anyway!
