La Neuveville – Le Rêche ***

This vineyard town on Lake Biel is better known for its fine wine and as a place to study French rather than as a place for rock climbing. However the 60 meter high slabs directly above the town offer outstanding opportunities to improve foot techniques. All the routes have been retrofitted and therefore are ideal for climbers to safely practice leading. The technical and challenging face climbs found in the “Le Reche” Sector are a magnet for the hard crushers.
