Klausen ***
The four crags on the road to Klausen Pass have something for everyone. The “Windeggen” Crag is on the outside of the Seelital Tunnel. The rock is somewhat polished and greasy in a few places. On the plus side is the short appproach and really nice picnic and fire ring areas complete with awesome views into the Schächental (valley). The “Niemerstafel” Sector is perfect in summer with its short challenging routes. For a nice Sunday getaway trip with the family, the crag on Chammlialp is well recommended. The approach is a bit long, but no problem with a mountain or (E-) Bike. Young and old alike will throroughly enjoy the small petting zoo and the quaint mountain restaurant in the summer months. The two Urnerboden boulders are especially exciting for families. They are only as high as 7 m max (so, please don’t take them with you!), but provide tons of fun with many climbing possiblities.
