Gletscherschlucht **
In Grindelwald at the entrance to the Gletscherschlucht, your eyes are immediately drawn to the gray slabs. In 2006, Hansueli Klossner, working in conjunction with the Grindelwald Mountaineering School, started a route rebolting/cleanup project with the aim of putting the area back onto climbers radar. These well protected climbs are mostly on smooth polished holds with color coded hangers to keep you on route. The routes are excellently equipped and perfect for families and those new to multi pitch routes. It is also a great place to hone your rope handling skills. For those seeking more exposure and adventure, check out either the pillar to the right or take advantage of the Grindelwald Sport Adventure Program which offers bridge jumping, rappelling, tyrolean traverses, and hanging bridges.
