The fantastic granite world of Allievi holds some of the “Plaisir SUD” guidebook’s best climbs! Sweeping granite towers loom above the hut. On Punta Allievi, you are drawn to the mega classic “Via Gervasutti” or the challenging routes on the gigantic East Face. The elegant line “Lady D” on the Punta Rasica offers the finest of granite climbing. Just as fine are the routes “Guronsan” and “Spigolo South” on the Picco Luigi Amedeo. The last mentioned is definitely sportier, but with experience and a trad rack with Camalots, can feel more reasonable. “Guronsan” is a nice warm up climb and because of its western orientation and moderate length, can be done in an afternoon.
