Plattenkreuz – Plattenwand ***

No question, there are better places to climb than the Plattenkreuz. The rock can be polished, smooth, and chossy. The climbing is hard and technical. Thanks to the short approach as well as the beautiful views from the summit cross, it is, nevertheless, very popular. The slab is more of a summer climbing area. Even here, the approach time is less than 5 minutes. The weekend and after work crowds can get pretty big! Please car pool when possible and don’t block the road parking.The wood loading truck parking may only be used on the weekends. New route beta can be found on www.bohrstaub.ch.

Due to a felling above the Plattenwand, the Plattenwand climbing area will remain closed from February 19 to April 12, 2024 (including weekends). There is a risk of falling rocks and wood.
