Gastlosen *****

The wildly jagged rock teeth of the Gastlosen were first climbed as far back as the 1900s! In those ruggedly adventurous times, even 19 m long ladders were utilized to attain the tower summits. Today, Plaisir climbers enjoy the climbs on the south side of the Pfadfluh. The solid, albeit occasional vegetated water sculpted slabs offer varied and diverse climbing. For those fascinated with climbing towers, the “Jumelle” and the “Corne Aubert” as well as “Dent de Ruth” are highly recommended. The many fabulous traverses are also not to be missed. The uninviting steep North Faces are home to upper end routes on the difficulty scale. An absolute “must” for those climbing between 6c+ to 9a+! Your choice of everything from crimpy technical face climbs to steep enduro routes in fantastic pocketed rock. The north side stays in the shade in summer until 3pm (1500).
