Col du Pillon ***

An impressive alpine cirque! The deafening waterfall, amidst the high, water worn limestone walls forms a Coliseum-like arena. And in its midst stands the climber like a gladiator just after entering the gates, disoriented and intimidated! Well, maybe that is just a bit over the top, but it is a great climbing area especially for those super hot summer days. Due to its exposure, rock remains wet long after the last rains.
